We were deeply shocked when we learned of the serious shooting incidents which have caused heavy casualties in Rewi Alley’s hometown Christchurch in New Zealand.
On behalf of the International Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Industrial Cooperatives (ICCIC) and the Beijing Bailie University (BBU), we firmly condemn this brutal racist and terrorist attack act that violates the values of all mankind. We wish to express our deep sympathy and sincere condolences to the New Zealand people, and sympathy for the grief for the victims and the bereaved families.
The ICCIC and the BBU will, as exhorted by President Xi Jinping, to promote Alley's Gung Ho spirit and continue international cultural exchanges, make new contributions to world peace and development and build a community with shared future for mankind.
Some members of ICCIC visited Christchurch in 2017 - a beautiful and peaceful city. We believe that the peaceful life will return to New Zealand soon.
