From 6^th to 9^th July 2011, ICCIC’s Vice President Yuan Peng and Secretary-General Du Yintang, together with Project Officer Ren Guangji, carried out the training activity of CEDPA Project in Hua County, Shaanxi Province. Totally 63 people  attended this training, including cadres of agricultural economics and chairman of the Cooperatives from 10 towns, Liuzhi Town, Jindui Town, Xiamiao Town, Xinglin Town, Huazhou Town, Chishui Town, Gaotang Town, Guapo Town, Lianhuasi Town and Daming Town.

The training classes were chaired by Director General Bi Yingping of Bureau of Agricultural Economics of Hua County, of which opening address was delivered by Hua County Deputy Mayor Wang Qiangguo. Director General Liu Hongwu of Municipal Bureau of Agricultural Economics introduced the development of the local cooperatives. Vice Chairman Yuan Peng expressed his thanks to Hua County, for its great support to this activity, introducing: ICCIC and CEDPA Project with its aim to promote global women’s economic capacity, and that Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives of Hua County brings together capable women capable. Mr. Peng hoped that: everybody has acquired knowledge through the training, improved themselves; there will be a progress seen in the return visit after six months, and said: ICCIC is willing to set up an international platform for Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives of Hua County.

Main contents of the activity: survey and feedback on training needs. Director Zhang Xufeng of Office of Agricultural Economics under Department of Agriculture of Shaanxi Province, introduced the development status quo, policies and orientations of Farmers’ Professional Cooperatives of Shaanxi Province; Vice Chairman Yuan Peng interpreted the standardized development, basic principles and financial management of the cooperatives; Secretary-General Du Yintang interpreted the marketing of the cooperatives; visits to Wanlong Cultivation and Processing Cooperatives, Xiaoyu Food Calligraphy and Painting Cooperatives and Minxing Vegetable Cooperatives; training assessment; experts’ consultations; Director General Bi Yingping delivered the closing address. A three-day training successfully concluded.
